The Three Fly Challenge |
The Wild Trout Trust Three Fly Challenge is held in June each year.
It is a simply brilliant day of fishing and camaraderie for a charity that goes to great measures to preserve UK habitat for native fish. A raffle will be held at lunchtime, where you have the chance to win tremendous prizes including Sage rods and elegant trophies. Many other runners-up prizes. The Three-Fly Challenge is a fishing tournament that will test your skills and catching ability as you will only be able to use three flies (one at a time), these will be provided on the day: Kites Imperial dry (3 points per fish); Black buzzer (2 points per fish); GHHE nymph (1 point per fish). wtt 3 fly challenge - 18th June 2021
We are pleased to have rescheduled the Wild Trout Trust 3 Fly Challenge to 17th June 2023. This prestigious event has been running at Meon Springs for over 10 years now. The challenge is to catch the heaviest bag on three different flies - a dry fly, a buzzer and a nymph.
