yurt village questionsHow many does each yurt sleep?
Each yurt sleeps up to six people. Each one has four beds, and a double futon. We can add a bedroll. The beds are made up, with fresh linen. They can be arranged as a double and two singles, or four singles. Do you allow children? Yes, children of all ages, from babies to grown ups are welcome at our Yurt Village. Can we book more than one yurt? Yes. Often people book all of the yurts, giving them exclusive use of the village. To do this, click "The Whole Village" option. That way you can make just one booking to secure all six yurts. To avoid groups dominating others, we allow a maximum of three or all six yurts booked by one group. What do we need to bring? You need to bring towels, personal belongings and whatever you want to eat and drink. Bedding, cutlery and crockery are all included. How much does it cost and how long can we stay? The price of breaks varies throughout the year. To find out, choose the month you wish to book and click on the green square, with the blue and yellow line above. Weekend yurters arrive Friday, for up to 3 nights. Mid-week yurters arrive Monday, for 2 or 4 nights, or Wednesday for 2 nights. Full week yurters can arrive Monday or Friday Our Yurt Village is open from March to November each year. Do the yurts have electric and heating? shepherd's hut questionsHow many does each hut sleep?
Each hut sleeps two people. Hawthorn can be made up as twin beds or a double. It also has two huts, so can sleep up to four, Olive, Mayfly, Alder, Damsel and Sedge are only doubles. Do you allow children? Because of its proximity to the lakes, we do not allow young children in the huts. Minimum age is 10 years old. Children are welcome at our Yurt Village. Can we book more than one hut? Yes. Each hut is self contained, therefore, unlike our yurts, groups cannot over crowd the site in quite the same way. Which Hut should I book? We have three types of hut. Our Riverside Huts Mayfly, Damsel, Alder and Sedge - are self-contained, with kitchen and bathroom integrated in a single hut. To gain space, the bed folds up during the day allowing for seats and a table. Our Downland Hut - Olive is self contained. With the bed not being folding it is simpler. Our Original Fishing Huts - Hawthorn - can be made up as twins or as a double. The kitchen and bathroom are in a separate hut outside, leaving more space in the accommodation hut and with the bed permanently down. It alos has another hut that can be hired with it to make a group size of up to four. What do we need to bring? You need to bring nothing other than towels, toothbrush and whatever you want to eat and drink. Bedding, cutlery and crockery are all included. How much does it cost and how long can we stay? The price of breaks varies throughout the year. To find out, choose the month you wish to book and click on the green square, with the blue and yellow line above. Weekend hutters arrive Friday, for up to 3 nights. Mid-week hutters arrive Monday, for 2 or 4 nights, or Wednesday for 2 nights.
