Frequent questions and answers

Can we bring our dog?
Well behaved dogs are welcome (public liability insurance required). Please always keep them under control and clean up behind them.

When can we arrive and how long can we stay?

  • Weekend stays: Arrive Friday, for up to 3 nights

  • Mid-week stays: Arrive Monday, for 2 or 4 nights, or Wednesday for 2 nights

  • Full weeks: Arrive Monday or Friday

Can we stay for one night?
You cannot book our accommodation on a per night basis but sometimes you might find the short break price reasonable enough to take your one night.

Arrival and checkout
You can access your accommodation from 3pm on the day of arrival. Please vacate by 10am on the day of your departure.

Do I need to pay a deposit?
A 25% deposit on booking is required, with the balance due eight weeks before.

What happens if I need to cancel?
Please get in contact immediately. If the cancellation is more than eight weeks prior to your stay, you will forfeit the deposit only. Cancellations within eight weeks will incur the full cost of the holiday. If cancellations are made as part of a group booking, then all the accommodation still needs to be paid for in full. To mitigate any eventuality, we advise you to take out suitable travel insurance. We will always do our best to re-sell your holiday for you, under which circumstances there will be no charge incurred.

Each yurt sleeps up to six people. Each has four beds, and a double futon. We can add a bedroll. The beds are made up, with fresh linen. They can be arranged as a double and two singles, or four singles.

Do you allow children?
Yes, children of all ages are welcome to stay for Yurt holidays at our village. The Shepherd's Huts are adults only.

You need to bring towels, personal belongings and whatever you want to eat and drink. Bedding, cutlery, and crockery are all included.
