Straight from Nature's Source
At Meon Springs, we believe in keeping things as close to nature as possible. And nothing reflects that philosophy better than our water. Drawn straight from a 40m deep underground aquifer on the farm, our water is pure, chemical-free, and naturally filtered — offering a refreshing, clean taste that’s hard to find elsewhere.
Why Our Water Is Different
Unlike municipal supplies, which often undergo heavy chemical treatment and long journeys through aging pipes, the water at Meon Springs is pumped directly from beneath your feet. This underground source is rich in natural minerals and requires no chlorine or harsh additives. Instead, we rely on a simple, highly effective ultraviolet (UV) filtration system. This method ensures the water remains free of bacteria and bugs, while preserving the natural composition that gives it its unique character.
That "White" Look? It’s Totally Natural
When you first pour a glass of our water, you might notice it looks white or cloudy. Don’t worry — that’s simply tiny air bubbles from being under pressure underground. They quickly rise and clear from the bottom up, leaving nothing but crystal-clear water. It’s a small, fascinating quirk of natural spring water that’s entirely harmless — and a sign of its freshness.

What's in the Water?
We regularly test our water to ensure it's not only safe but exceptional in quality. Here’s a look at a recent analysis:
pH: 7.81 – Perfectly balanced, neither too acidic nor too alkaline.
Sodium: 34.5 mg/l – Naturally occurring, well within safe limits.
Nitrate: 2.13 mg/l – Far below the 50 mg/l limit for drinking water, indicating clean surroundings.
Iron: 34.2 µg/l, Zinc: 2.56 µg/l, Copper: 0.82 µg/l – Essential trace minerals in healthy, safe concentrations.
Lead: 0.09 µg/l – Nearly negligible, reflecting pristine infrastructure and natural purity.
Aluminium, Manganese, Ammonium, Nitrite: All well below health thresholds.
Turbidity: 0.26 – A measure of water clarity; ours is exceptionally clear.
Conductivity: 428 – A sign of naturally occurring minerals.
Colour: 3 mg/l Pt/Co – Almost completely colourless.
These figures not only demonstrate safety — they show the water’s natural mineral balance, supporting hydration without additives.
A Taste of the Land
Meon Springs water is more than just something that comes out of the tap — it’s a part of the local environment. Every sip tells the story of chalk-filtered aquifers, untouched by chemical processing and rich with the subtle flavours of Hampshire’s countryside. It’s a sustainable, healthy choice for you, your family, and our environment.
Whether you’re filling a kettle, rinsing vegetables, or simply enjoying a cool glass, know that you’re drinking water as nature intended — pure, clean, and straight from the source.
