Yurts at Meon Springs

Imagine a camping experience, where you don't need a car full of baggage, or to tangle with poles and canvas and you don't wake up to condensation in the morning. Imagine the experience of campfires and fun, without the time and effort that normally goes with it.

At Meon Springs, you will be hiring an insulated Mongolian home, complete with beds, fresh linen and wood burning stove. Comfortable, simple, relaxed and peaceful. A base from where you can enjoy the best of Hampshire, nestled beneath the South Downs, amongst the trees.

Mongolian Yurts
Your yurt, about 20ft dia. and 9ft tall will comfortably sleep four adults or a family of six.  It is furnished with comfortable beds (duvets, sheets, pillowcases & warm rugs provided), a wood burning stove and felt insulated walls, which you can set for the perfect balance or warmth and ventilation.

Facilities
Each yurt has basic cooking facilities and is within striking distance of a loo.  However to make your stay really easy, you have access to a building with all the essential facilities that you need.

– Flushing toilets, warm showers & washbasins.. 
– A kitchen, with a cooker, a fridge for each individual yurt and plenty of workspace.
– A Gathering Area, with a beautiful view.  This is a social area, where you can meet other "Yurters" and share your experiences.

The easiest way to get around the valley is by bicycle. Bring your own or hire one of our "Farm bikes". It takes about five minutes to cycle to Meon Springs Fly Fishery and 20 minutes to cycle to East or West Meon.  There are two pubs and a village shop in each village.
