Sustainable World

It has been very easy for us to link up with a fantastic organization in the United States that we have shared our name with.

In a moment, I’ll tell you how dedicating a tree at Meon Springs "Trees for Life" benefits this organization and the environment and people in the developing countries that they are working with.

Firstly I would like to explain who the Trees For Life Charity are and what they are achieving.£

The "Trees For Life" Charity
Trees for life is a non-profit, people-to-people movement that helps plant fruit trees in developing countries.

You may ask, what is the purpose of this?  Well, these trees provide a low-cost, self-renewing source of food for many people, who would otherwise go without and protect the environment at the same time.

In helping each other we therefore unleash extraordinary power that impacts all of our lives. The programs include three elements: education, health, and environment.

Volunteers in the villages are trained by Trees for Life and provided with essential support for programs that respond to the needs of their communities. Through their own efforts and labor, the villagers reap the benefits.
Trees for Life provides hope, not handouts.

Since the inception of Trees for Life in 1984,
more than 3 million people have helped plant tens of millions of fruit trees in countries like India, Guatemala, Haiti and Brazil.

"Trees for Life is really not about planting trees, but about the regeneration of the spirit of people."

How your Tree Dedication helps this charity
Every time a tree is dedicated at Meon Springs, we will make a donation to this charity.  We are also keen to make you aware of the work that they are doing and would be pleased if you took a look at their website www.treesforlife.org
