Most of the storage units we use have been converted from steel shipping containers, which, designed for taking all kinds of goods around the world, making them ideal Self-Storage Units.
- They are sealed - eliminating any possibility of vermin damage.
- They are vented – keeping your goods dry and in good condition.
- They are steel – making them strong and secure storage units.
Our storage facility, mid-way between Winchester and Petersfield, has a few unique advantages:
- The storage containers are inside a building, eliminating condensation problems.
- Each storage unit has drive up access – making moving really easy.
- As a self storage customer you have 24/7 access – allowing you complete flexibility.
Calculating Self Storage Space
We have found that the easiest way to assess storage space is to ask yourself whether your goods would fit into the below kind of areas.
Would your goods would fit:
Onto a Supermarket Shelf?
If you have a small amount of things to store, you may choose our Small Locker or Shelved Units. These are ideal for Archive Boxes or Valuables. They are 6ft long, 3ft wide and 8ft high. They can be shelved or open as you require and are located in a heated environment, giving you extra protection to your sensitive items.
A Garden Shed?
The majority of garden sheds are 6ft*8ft, which is the same size as our Mini units. We have two different heights, 7ft and 9 ½ ft. These units are most useful for de-cluttering rooms or attics.
Our Mini-Units are located up a small flight of stairs (just 8ft high).
A Single Garage?
You can fit a car into our 10ft container units, which is why we consider them the size of a single garage. They are also hold the same amount as a fully packed Luton Van, which means if you can get it on the van it will fit into this storage unit. Good for part moves, or small houses.
A Large Single Garage?
If you think your goods won’t quite fit into a Single Garage but a Double Garage is too big, then choose a 15ft container unit. These units are very popular. Less money than a full 20ft container, yet when packed full, customers are often surprised at the amount they hold.
A Double Garage?
If it’s a full move, our most popular unit is the 20 foot containerised storage unit. This will take the contents of most 3 to 4 bedroom properties. And will take the contents of a 7 ½ tonne removal vehicle. As with all the units, being inside, they are dry, secure and temperature stable.
