Family Glamping In a Hampshire Yurt

Meon Springs Yurt Village is an ideal venue to take your family away for a few days.

With little available in the way of technology, the kids will have a ball roaming around in the open air and using their imagination to create all sorts of fun and games.

And the extremely comfortable yurts, with made up beds, wood burning stoves and one or two electric points is what makes our glamping experience easy simple and comfortable.

Each yurt has it's own little barbecue and campfire.  There is also a main campfire for the whole site.  Perfect for marshmallows under the stars.

Come rain or shine, there is plenty to do in the local area for families.

On the Farm

  • Take a walk down to the Dairy and see the cows being milked.
  • Have a go at Fly Fishing and catch a trout for the barbecue.
  • Hire a bike or two, with child seats and tag-alongs to speed your way around the valley.
  • Take the kids on a Treasure Hunt to find the local Geocache (we can provide maps and clues).

When it's Dry

  • Take the kids to the beach.  West Wittering or Hayling Island are the best.
  • Walk or cycle to East Meon, have a drink at The George and take a look at the Norman Church.
  • Walk up to the Roman Hill Fort on Old Winchester Hill.  Fly a kite and have picnic.
  • Take a cycling adventure down the old railway line from West Meon to Droxford.

When it's Wet

  • Stoke up the wood-burner in your yurt and have a slow day...
  • Visit HMS Victory and the Historic Dockyards in Portsmouth.
  • Visit the Intech Technology Centre and Planetarium in Winchester.
  • Go to Gunwharf Quays for Cinema, Outlet Shopping or 10 pin Bowling.
