Bushcraft Experience Day at Meon Springs
Your day will begin with understanding and applying the principals of fire and the opportunity to attempt primitive bow drill. Following this you learn the basic skills in greenwood carving and safe tool use and with these skills imbedded you will then be able to make your lunch over your own open fire by making a pot hanger. Hopefully!
After your own prepared campfire lunch you will be taken on a short stroll around the site and learn the basics of hedgerow foraging and cordage. This will be followed by a short break after which you’ll finish the day learning the principles of manmade shelter, design, hammocks and knots.
Hopefully, your day will offer you foundational skills that you can build upon and give you a basic insight into understanding some outdoor living skills. Ultimately, you will have enjoyable ‘hands on’ day out with family or fiends. More importantly you will be able to enrich your experience at Meon Springs. So whether you are staying in the Yurts or cabins or just looking for a day of activity just let us know so we can tailor your day to suit your needs.
